Quality and accuracy are two main vital characteristics that a translation company swears by.  Accuracy in translation is very important, the translated document should have the exact same context as the source document but only accuracy does not assures quality. A translation is said to be of great quality if the translated document is the identical copy of the source document and this means the intend, the font and size of the text, any image or stamp everything should be in the exact same place as it was in the source document.

As per ISO 17100 it is required that at least two linguists should work on one translation project. ISO stand for International Organization of Standardization and they are responsible for setting up standards for products and services for all the industries and translation industry has a set of standards to maintain of their own.

Further discussed are few steps how we, as a professional Language Service Provider in India, assures the quality of our translation services.

Step 1

Once we receive the documents we check them, whether those are legible or not and then we check with our translators to see who is most suitable for the job. All our translators are native speakers of the language in question who are also subject matter experts in their respective field of sudy.

Step 2

Once we confirm with the availability of the translator, the document is sent to them for translation and this is where the magic happens. The translator dives into the ocean of translation and converts the source language to the targeted language keeping the context intact.

Step 3

When the translation is done, the translated document is then sent to another linguist who works with the same language pair to check for mistakes and make changes wherever necessary. This process is known as editing. It often happens that there are absolutely no mistakes that are found but still then we never take the risks of avoiding this process, altogether.

Step 4

Once the editing is done, the document is then sent to another linguist who knows the targeted language only, and the linguist is asked to check everything and correct further mistakes, if any. This process is called proof reading, another vital step to assure quality.

Step 5

After proof reading the document goes through a quality assurance process to check for minor details that human eyes could miss like punctuation marks, double spaces, irregularity of font size, intend, etc. This might seems like an unnecessary step but it is the most important of them all. This process assures the quality of the document that all the translation companies, including us, strives to provide and cutting on this process is not something that we do.

Step 6

The last step is the formatting the document. The translated document needs to be exactly the same as the source document. All the stamps, signatures, intend of the paragraphs everything should be like the source document. This is done by our employees and also this is the last time that the documents are checked and it is also the final step to assure great quality of our translation service.
